St. Petersburg, Russia’s KIROV BALLET performed the 1992 centennial performance of Tchaikovhky’s THE NUTCRACKER in St. Petersburg, Florida. The KIROV discovered Vaslav Nijinsky, Rudolph Nureyev, and Mikhail Baryshnikov. In the curtain call photo above, the ballerina in the middle is Julia Makhalina. The dancer to the right of Julia, holding her hand and dressed in a black cape is Herr Drosselmeyer, played by Tom Stovall.
